Breast Massage Reduces Breast Cancer Risk

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

By Beverly Smith

A recent study* of 4,700 women found that women who wore bras had an increased chance of acquiring breast cancer.

It is very possible that the constant pressure that the bra puts on the breast is limiting the flow of toxins that need to be released, resulting in the increased cancer rate. Any more than a gentle amount of pressure can flatten the lymphatic vessel and stop the toxic flow from the breast.

Hormone levels predict attractiveness of women

Thursday, May 18th, 2006

Feminine beauty, the subject of philosophical and artistic musings for millennia, can be predicted by something as basic as hormones – in women, but not men.

Researchers at the University of St Andrews in Fife, UK, have found that women’s facial attractiveness is directly related to their oestrogen levels.

Miriam Law Smith and colleagues photographed 59 women, aged between 18 and 25, every week for six weeks. On each occasion, they provided a urine sample for hormone analysis and gave information on where they were in their menstrual cycle. None of the women wore make-up, nor were they taking the contraceptive pill. (more…)

1. CLEANSING

Women who wear make-up should carry out a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturing each evening, as well as washing the face in the morning. Cleansing will remove old make-up and the grime and grease that have been accumulated during the day.

• Remove mascara with a cotton bud dipped in eye-dipped in eye-cleansing lotion. To make the job easier keep your hair off your face.
• Remove the eyeshadow by gently wiping it off with a pad of clean cotton wool moistened with eye-cleansing lotion.

Calcium And Osteoporosis

Wednesday, May 17th, 2006

NEW YORK,

As The Early Show medical correspondent Dr. Emily Senay explained Tuesday, calcium provides the building blocks necessary to make sure bones are dense and strong. Getting enough calcium early in life can reduce the risk of fracture and the bone-weakening condition osteoporosis later on.
