Skin Anatomy

Functioning as the largest organ in the body, your skin’s anatomy is more complex than you might realize.

Although the skin appears to be just one layer, it is actually composed of two different layers which have different functions. The epidermis is the outer layer of skin and below that lies the dermis. There are also several other components to skin such as the pigmentation, DNA enzymes, hair, blood vessels and nerves.

Dealing With Cellulite

Cellulite is one of the most common problems women try to deal with everyday. Cellulite is actually fat deposits under the skin, yes girls fat.
The excess fat beneath the skin, where there is cellulite, is uneven causing a bumpy, dimply appearance of the skin.

Men can get cellulite as well but it is not as common in men as it is in women.
The cellulite mostly appears on the buttocks or thighs which are more fat parts of the women’s body.

Drink Tea Every Day To Decrease Your Risk of Ovarian Cancer

A new study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine reveals that women who drink two or more cups of tea every day may reduce their risk of developing ovarian cancer by as much as half.

While many studies have promoted tea for its anti-carcinogenic properties, this study is among the first to link tea with a reduced risk of ovarian cancer specifically.

Surgery for Varicose and Spider Veins

The most common treatment for spider and varicose veins is sclerotherapy. This treatment doesn’t require anesthesia and can be done in the doctor’s office. For this procedure the doctor injects a solution into the vein that causes the vein walls to stick together and seal shut, stopping the flow of blood. Within a few weeks the vein should fade, although it may require more than one session.
