We’ve all experienced them: Whether you spent the evening in front of a computer screen scrambling to meet a deadline or enjoyed a long night out with the girls, puffiness around the eyes can strike, making you appear older, tired and worn out. Not only are under-eye circles common among women, but you might be surprised to learn that there are numerous factors besides lack of sleep that contribute to your under-eye dilemma. Luckily, treatment is fairly simple; all you need is a little knowledge and a few remedies.

How do you get them?

Lack of sleep: You might assume lack of sleep causes under-eye circles, but this is only part of the story. Lack of sleep affects blood flow around the eyes, which can cause swelling and dark circles. So, just get more sleep and problem solved? Surprisingly, getting enough sleep might influence dark under-eye circles, too. Because we lay down when sleeping, fluids can pool under the bottom eyelid due to gravity, causing puffiness and dark circles.

Or that even after a mole is removed, melanoma can still return in other places—like the lymph nodes or the lungs—in five to 10 years? So, naturally prevention is key. In addition, with early diagnosis and treatment, a good recovery is probable.

Treatment of Deep Acne Scars

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

Deep Acne scars are usually caused by severe acne like cystic acne. Although, a permanent cure may not always be possible, there are a few useful treatment methods that can be followed to greatly reduce the scarring.

Skin Renewal Process: Our skin consists of many layers. The upper layer of the skin is called the epidermis which has about 4 layers. As the skin grows old, the cells from the lower most layers of the epidermis keep getting pushed to the topmost layers and there they eventually die. As the cells die, they are again replaced by newer skin cells from the lower layers. This is a natural phenomenon by which our skin renews itself. The above skin renewal process is the natural way by which the acne scars and blemishes are removed as the old skin wears itself out.
